Katharine McPhee fans anxious to hear her new album are going to have to wait a little longer than expected.
The release date, previously announced as Oct. 6, has been pushed back to Jan. 5.
I’ve read some conjecture that Jan. 5 is just a dummy date because, after all, who releases an album right after the holiday shopping season.
But in a new video posted on her Web site, Kat assures fans that Jan. 5 is indeed “the new and official and final date.” She attributes the delay to scheduling issues and a decision that early January will be a better time for an album release.
Meanwhile, two singles from the album are available. “Had It All” was released earlier this summer. “Say Goodbye” went on sale today. You can hear both tunes on Kat’s MySpace page.
And, yes, she’s still sporting her new blond look in the video on her Web site, so check it out.
