Auditions for American Idol Season 20 kick off Friday.
And the show announced Tuesday that the cast is returning intact for their fifth season on ABC.
That means Ryan Seacrest will host the show for a 20th season, with Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan serving as judges.
“Their star power is unmatched, and their support is a gift to our contestants that have deeply benefited from their wisdom over the past four seasons —- and they’re ready to do it again,” said Rob Mills, executive vice president, Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment, Walt Disney Television, via press release.
“As we begin a momentous season, I think it’s safe to say this dream team has officially cemented their legacy on Idol.”
The virtual auditions begin Friday when singers from Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina can interact directly with a producer.
Virtual auditions for singers from Maryland and Pennsylvania are set for Sept. 8.

All finalists and semifinalists of “Idol” ages 15-28 can audition again, as long as they didn’t win or aren’t signed with a label, management, or publishing deal.
