The photo Katy Perry posted to Instagram to announce the birth of her daughter.
The announcement on the arrival of Daisy Dove Bloom came via the Unicef website.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the couple wrote.
Both are Goodwill Ambassadors for Unicef. They go on to note that not all families are as lucky as they are and that there’s a worldwide shortage of healthcare workers.
“Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases.”
They then encourage others to donate to the organization.
Katy will be returning for Season 19 of American Idol in the spring.
Her latest album, “Smile,” releases at midnight.
