Whatever became of little ol’ Kellie Pickler, the small-town girl from Albemarle, N.C.?

First, she becomes a celebrity spokeswoman for the Sexy Hair ad campaign that kicks off next month in Cosmopolitan, Allure and the like.

Then she shows up at Fashion Week in New York, mingling with the likes of Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

This from the Idol contestant who once told Ryan Seacrest the false eyelashes she was wearing for that night’s performance felt like she had “tarantulas” on her eyes.

Well, it’s not as though Kellie roller skated straight from her job at Sonic Drive-In onto the Idol stage.

Back in 2004, she looked dazzling in red while winning the title of Miss Stanly County, a preliminary to the Miss North Carolina pageant.

And Kellie the former Idol and current country music star was in red again when The Associated Press snapped the photos below during Fashion Week last month.

Don’t forget, Kellie will be playing Merriweather Post Pavilion in nearby Columbia, Md., on June 11. Also taking the stage that night, Gloriana and, of course, Taylor Swift.

A check of Ticketmaster shows $58 tickets are still available; the $28 tickets that were available for the show have sold out.
