Rolling Stone has announced its top music of the decade, and Kelly Clarkson is among the honorees.
Fan balloting was announced earlier this week; Rolling Stone announced its top 100 songs and top 100 albums of the decade on Wednesday.
Those were selected by a combination of artists, industry insiders and journalists.
American Idol contestants failed to nail down a single spot on the top 100 albums. Among the top 100 singles, Kelly’s “Since You’ve Been Gone” checked in at number 18.
Kelly fared even better in the reader voting. She ranked 21st among the top artists of the decade, and “Since You’ve Been Gone” ranked ninth among the most popular songs.
Fans also picked their favorite albums. Kelly’s “Breakaway” landed in the number 11 spot; her latest album, “All I Ever Wanted,” checked in at number eight.
Rolling Stones’ top picks?
Glad you asked. Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” for best song; Radiohead’s “Kid A” for best album.
