They certainly saved the best for the last on The Voice Monday night.
On a night of solid performances, Meghan Linsey of Team Blake and Kimberly Nichole of Team Christina served notice that they just might be contenders for the Season 8 crown.
Singing next to last, Meghan turned in an emotional performance of “Girl Crush” that easily ranked as one of the best vocals of the night.
Then Nichole stormed the stage with a possessed performance of “House of the Rising Sun” that brought all four Voice coaches to their feet.
The night also featured standout performances from three singers who needed coach’s saves to make the finals — Hannah Kirby of Team Blake, Rob Taylor of Team Christina and Koryn Hawthorne of Team Pharrell.
And two show favorites — Sawyer Fredericks, the youngest contestant, and Joshua Davis, the oldest — were also impressive. For song by song grades, head here. Meanwhile, here’s a photo gallery from those performances.
