Kristy Lee Cook of American Idol Season 7 has a new song out. Sort of, anyway.
She’s featured on a duet on country singer Randy Houser’s new album, which dropped this week.
The album is “How Country Feels.” Their duet is “Wherever Love Goes.” And both are now available on iTunes.
Houser’s new album is on Stoney Creek Records, a sister label to Broken Bow Records, which counts Kristy Lee and Jason Alden among its artists.
And the title track from Houser’s new album already hit number one on Billboard’s country airplay chart, so this is a chance for some good exposure for the Idol alum.
Kristy Lee released her own single, “Airborne Ranger Infantry,” in October and was working on an album expected to land sometime this year.
But right now, she’s on six weeks of vocal rest, according to a message posted on Facebook earlier this month.
Oh, the singer, who turned 29 last week, also posted this opinion of Season 12 of American Idol: “Not sure what to think of the NEW Idol … My HONEST thoughts are the female judges don’t stop talking/bickinger etc …. It’s annoying.”
