They also appear to have scored the night’s biggest hits on iTunes.
By midnight eastern time, both had already cracked the Top 200 on the iTunes singles chart, though iTunes downloads don’t count as votes in this phase of the competition.
Kyla, of Team Blake Shelton, was topping the charts for The Voice with her version of “How Great Thou Art,” which had also cracked the Top 10 on the Christian / gospel singles chart.
Brynn, the youngest singer in the competition, performed “Unstoppable” for Team Kelly Clarkson and had also cracked the Top 40 on the iTunes pop singles chart.
As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, 22 of the 24 songs featured on Monday’s show were already charting.
Also with reason to celebrate, Alexa Cappelli of Team Kelly, who was number one on the blues chart with “It Hurt So Bad;” and Britton Buchanan of Team Alicia Keys, who had made the Top 10 on the rock singles chart with “Some Kind of Wonderful.”
Like Kyla and Brynn, Britton has already locked down a spot in the Top 12. Alexa will have to sing again Tuesday night in hopes of doing the same.
Here are all the rankings as of noon eastern time, which is when voting will end once the Top 12 start performing.
Keep in mind that chart to chart comparisons are difficult. The country and pop charts are much more difficult to scale than the others..
