Laces releases a sexy, addictive new single

Laces, formerly Charlotte Sometimes of The VoiceWhen Jessie Poland changed her stage name from Charlotte Sometimes to Laces, Voice Views asked what it would mean for her music.

Her response: “I think it’s not too far off from Charlotte. Maybe just a little more electronic and adult. Perhaps even a little on the raw side. It’s definitely a lot sexier.”

Which brings us to her new single: “Some Body (2 F*ck).”

Definitely sexier. Also perhaps her most addictive release since becoming Laces more than a year ago. It features a chorus and dance beat that’s just impossible to resist.

Of course, the song — embedded below — also comes with an explicit lyric warning.

Since shedding the Charlotte Sometimes name, Laces had been pretty busy. This is her third single, following “Love Me Sober” and “Freedom.” She promises another is on the way. She also released a self-titled five-track EP last year with “Erotic” as one of the top tracks.

Oh, and she competed on Season 2 of The Voice, cracking the Top 24 as Charlotte Sometimes and delivering a brilliant version of Paramore’s “Misery Business.”
