Jody Booth and Laci Kaye Booth are both featured on a new country single.

Well, Laci’s dad Jody released a new single Friday, called “Momma’s Martin,” about a guitar that’s been passed down through the family.

And guess who provides a vocal assist?

That’s right: Laci Kaye, who wound up finishing Top 5 on Idol.

“So proud of this one,” Jody Booth writes on Facebook. “Thank you, Momma Booth for your gift of music. And thank you Laci for being you and for carrying on the family tradition. ‘Momma’s Martin’ is all about love and family and I couldn’t want for better inspiration.”

No word yet on new Laci Kaye music, but her hometown of Livington, Texas, threw a parade in her honor earlier this month where she performed for fans.

And don’t forget, her excellent pre-American Idol EP, “Something New,” is still available.
