Her self-title project is due out Aug. 6 and is available for pre-order now.
“Creating this music has been the biggest thrill of my life, and I believe taking these past two years to just work and write has only made me a better writer, artist and human,” she wrote in a social media post to fans.
No word on whether any singles will drop prior to the full release, but that’s less than two weeks away.
Laci announced signing a deal with 19 Recordings and the Big Machine Label Group in May 2020.
Her album includes eight tracks, produced by Dan Huff. It features a collaboration with Charles Kelly of Lady A called “Broken Heart Still Beats.”
Thanks to her smoky vocals and imaginative covers, Laci established herself as an early standout on Season 17 of American Idol.
She auditioned at age 23 and wound up finishing Top 5.
Prior to Idol, she released an impressive independent EP in 2017. “Turn Around” and “Don’t Call Me” are standout tracks on that project.
