“If you’ve been to one of my shows, you’ve heard this one, before but I’m really excited to finally give it to y’all,” Laine writes on social media.
“There’s something special about livin’ in a tiny town and having pride in it.”
Laine, 19, is from Livingston, Louisiana. He won Season 17 of American Idol and released his first two post-show songs — “Ground I Grew Up On” and “Let There Be Country” — back in April.
The latest single was written by Michael Tyler Spragg and digs deep into the bag of small-town country cliches with references to Friday night football, church and fishing on the weekends.
Back in June, Laine announced he’d been diagnosed with coronavirus. That forced him to postpone two virtual tour dates, but they’ve been rescheduled to July 23 and Aug. 6.
Head to his Facebook page for more details.
Meanwhile, “Tiny Town” is available for streaming in both a fully produced and acoustic version.
