The bump in album sales Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson saw from their Grammy wins clearly ended last week.
Both “Blown Away” and “Stronger” dropped back to earth on the Billboard 200.
But the latest singles from Carrie and Kelly continue to perform well.
Carrie has logged an incredible string of 15 straight singles that have climbed to at least number two on the country chart.
“Two Black Cadillacs” is moving in the right direction, jumping from number eight to number six on the most recent Billboard country airplay chart.
The song has also reached a new peak of 31 on the radio songs chart.
Two singles off “Blown Away” — the title track and “Good Girl” — have already become number one hits for Carrie.
Meanwhile, “Catch My Breath,” off Kelly’s greatest hits album, moved up from number eight to number six on the adult contemporary chart.
It maintained peak positions among adult pop songs (5), radio songs (12) and pop songs (14) while moving up from 25 to 24 on the Hot 100.
Here’s the complete chart rundown.
