Three singers American Idol fans will likely remember from the past two seasons will be vying for a golden ticket as part of an American Music Awards promotion.

Layla Spring from Season 16 and Logan Johnson and Shawn Robinson from Season 17 all reached the cusp of the voting rounds on the show.

Now fans will decide which of them advance to Hollywood after a pre-taped audition featuring Layla, Logan and Shawn airs during the American Music Awards, set for Sunday on ABC.

Fans will be encouraged to vote at www.americanidol.com/vote from the time the auditions air thought 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25. The winner will be announced on the season finale of Dancing with the Stars, which will air that night at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Layla hails from Marion County, Kentucky, and was just 16 when she auditioned for Season 16, accompanied by her 7-year-old sister Dyxie. In fact, they were such big hits on the show, they were invited back to the Season 16 finale. Luke Bryan called her “a little star” at one point.

Logan, from Boise, Idaho, was 20 when he auditioned for Season 17 and said he’d been dreaming of auditioning for Idol since age 5. But he became addicted to painkillers. He was eight months sober when he auditioned and performed Demi Lovato’s “Sober” for the judges.

Shawn, from Atlanta, Ga., was 21 when he auditioned for Season 17. Katy immediately feel in love with his positive energy. Lionel Richie called his voice “butter” after Shawn performed Jessie J’s “Who You Are.”

Idol will return with audition episodes in February. All three coaches and host Ryan Seacrest will be back for Season 18.
