You can’t get it on YouTube. There isn’t even a release date yet that I’ve been able to find.

But head to Popeater.com and you can listen to Allison Iraheta’s upcoming single, “Friday I’ll Be Over U.”

The 17-year-old’s debut album is due out Dec. 1 from Jive Records, so you can bet the single will be released in the near future.

Soon after it is, you’ll likely see it listed on the Billboard Hot 100. That’s my guess anyway.

There’s nothing deep about the song. Allison admits that in an accompanying interview with Popeater.

But it’s a darn catchy tune. Reminds me a lot of many of the songs on Kelly Clarkson’s latest album, with a slightly more youthful flair of course.

And, sorry Kris Allen fans, but I like it much better than his first single.

No doubt, Allison can rock. Anyone who watched Idol knows that.

And she told Popeater that fans will get plenty of Idol’s season eight rocker chick when her album is released. Yes, it will include some ballads and “some upbeats maybe you can dance to songs, but they all pretty much come out as a rock vibe,” she said.

Follow the link above, and you’ll get the full interview, too.
