The narrowed list of People’s Choice nominees was announced today at a press conference in Los Angeles.
And, guess what?
Almost every single Idol contestant advanced, including both Kris Allen and Adam Lambert in the breakout artist category (although both will be major underdogs since Lady Gaga is another of the nominees there).
The lone exception: Kelly Clarkson in the highly competitive pop artist category.
Kris, Idol’s season eight champ, joined Jeff Probst, Sofia Vergara, Cat Deeley in unveiling the final five nominees in each category at Tuesday’s press conference.
Former Idol contestants were nominated in six categories. The show is also among the final five nominees in favorite television competition show.
Below are those categories. Performers who made the cut are listed first, followed by those who were eliminated.
CBS will televised the People’s Choice awards on Jan. 6.
