former finalist from American Idol and a former contestant from The Voice have joined forces as half of a new country girl group.

Maddie Walker and Nicolette Mare are part of South Haven, along with Brit Willson and Ray Taaffe.

The young ladies had a showcase performance earlier this week and just released the teaser I’ve embedded at right.

Earlier this year, they tweeted about signing a management deal.

They have a Twitter account, @WeAreSouthHaven, but they don’t appear to

be on Facebook or have an official website yet.

Head to that Twitter account and you can see a tiny snippet of a performance and the rave review of at least one fan convinced they’re going to be the next big thing.

You might remember Maddie from Season 13 and Season 14 of American Idol. From Iowa, she was 16 when she auditioned for Season 14 with “Suitcase.” She wound up advancing all the way to the Top 11 after being cut in Hollywood week the previous season.

And you might remember Nicolette from Season 8 of The Voice. From Staten Island, N.Y., she auditioned with Taylor Swift’s “Everything Has Changed” and landed a spot on Team Adam. She was eliminated in the battle round when she went up against eventual finalist Deanna Johnson.
