Now she’s back with music of her own, a seven-song album called “Anymore” that landed Friday.
It’s the first major project from Madilyn since her self-titled debut album landed in early 2015.
That album came on the heels of a Top 20 finish on The Voice Season 6; she auditioned for the show when she was just 17.
“I started writing for this album about two and a half years ago,” Madilyn said Friday, in a Facebook chat with fans. “My inspiration behind this whole album — I knew I wanted to put out music that was fun and current and relevant, but that had good messages.
“I feel like that’s something that’s really hard to find these days,” added the 21-year-old from Provo, Utah. “It’s kind of either or a lot of the time. I wanted to prove that you can have fun music, but with good messages that actually mean something and make you feel better afterwards.”
“Perfect,” the lead single from “Anymore,” is a perfect example.
It’s a catchy upbeat pop tune. The message: One’s worth doesn’t lie in looking perfect or seeming perfect in an Instagram post or Twitter feed.

Oh, and Madilyn had a helping hand on the title track for the new album.
About a year ago, David Archuleta, runner-up on American Idol Season 7, released a duet with Madilyn called “Seasons.” It was one of the standout tracks from his “Postcards in the Sky” album.
On Madilyn’s song “Anymore,” David returns the favor.
“When I first heard that song, I knew I wanted it to be a duet and I knew I wanted it to be David,” Madilyn said Friday. “To have him on it was absolutely awesome.”
Madilyn will celebrate the new album with a Saturday night show at Velour Live Music Gallery in Provo.
In addition to Facebook, you can keep up with Madilyn through her website and Instagram. On Twitter, she’s @MadilynPaige_.
