Her audition: Alanna Lynise, 21, Toledo, Ohio, “Issues” by Julia Michaels: The Voice has leaked her audition, but stopped the clip short of her coaching decision. Displaying an absolutely lovely tone, Alanna earned early chair turns from Adam Levine and Michael Buble. She continued delivering a superb vocal, prompting Kelsea Ballerini to turn too. John Legend couldn’t turn because his team was already full, but said he would have within 15 seconds if it wasn’t. Adam called her performance “so cool” and said her voice is “memorable.” Michael suggests Alanna could win the show. Kelsea says she thinks she’s best suited to relate to a young artist. Alanna decided to join Team Kelsea.

* She’s a 22-year-old Atlanta-based singer who moved to the city in the fall of 2023 to pursue music full time.

* Alanna says she made the decision on a “random weekday,” told no one but her boyfriend and as on her way 30 days later.

* That meant leaving behind a family of 9 and parents she’d never been separated from, leading her to become a bit homesick.

* She credits a warm reception at The Sangers Movement in Atlanta for helping her overcome that feeling. The movement is an open mic event featuring music and improv.

* “That’s where everything literally changed for me,” she says on Instagram. “The feedback I received on these performances still blows my mind.” She says it also reminded her of “my purpose and why I decided to move to Atlanta in the first place.”

* She’s since been performing around Atlanta, “overcoming my fears of putting myself out there.” Oh, and she concludes by saying she has some “cool things” to come.

* Alanna has already developed a popular TikTok, with more than 10,000 followers and 200,000 likes.

* Alanna is the sixth of nine siblings in a musical family and discovered her voice during a church performance in front of 300 people when she was 11 years old, according to her Voice bio.

* Her family went through financial struggles around 2008 and lost their home. Alanna credits her love of music for helping pull her through that period of her life.
