The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, March 6.
Here’s more about Alex.
* He’s a veteran musician who traveled from London to the U.S. to pursue music.
* In a 2019 TV interview, Alex explained that he was a train driver and “we just weren’t getting any further in London,” referring to he and his wife. They were also fed up with the weather. “It rained all the time,” he said.
* At the time, they had landed in Aiken, S.C., where his wife trained horses and he performed music.
* In the interview, Alex called his music contemporary outlaw country, “very much inspired by the old guys” like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and newer artists like Chris Stapleton. Check out his cover of Stapleton’s “Starting Over” below.
* Head to his YouTube channel, and you’ll find plenty of rock-flavored covers as well, including “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones and “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi.
* Alex says he writes original music based on his experiences, but he doesn’t appear to have released any yet.
* Alex and his wife have since settled in the Tampa area where he’s a regular performer at beach bars and restaurants.
