Alison Elena of The Voice Season 26

Alison Elena is among the artists who auditioned for Season 26 of The Voice.

The Voice Season 26 kicked off last Monday (Sept. 23) with the coaching quartet of Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Michael Buble and Gwen Stefani.

Here’s more about Alison:

* She’s a 29-year-old Nashville-based, county-pop singer-songwriter.

* And she’s already released lots of music, including a 2018 EP and about a dozen singles since.

* Her most recent releases are her most popular. “Hate That Bar” (2023) and “Bet Your Boots” (Nov. 2022) each have more than 50,000 streams on Spotify.

* She released her latest single, “Maybe You Don’t” in March and calls 2021’s “Break a Cowboy” one of her favorites. Check out the former below; the latter on her Instagram or YouTube.

* Alison arrived at The Voice with some singing show experience. She auditioned for American Idol Season 14 (aired in 2015) and earned a golden ticket. She calls that a “huge learning experience” and the first step toward an eventual move to Nashville.

* Alison is from Beacon, N.Y, a small town north of New York City. She started singing at age 3 and gave her first public performance at age 6.

* In a 2021 interview, she said she started thinking seriously about pursuing music around age 10 or 11 “when I realized I didn’t have to do musical theater … when you are so close to New York City and Broadway, that’s almost what you’re expected to do.”

* Alison said she grew up performing in musical theater productions. But she also grew up listening to country music, thanks to her mom, and says, “It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.”

* She moved to Nashville within a year of her Idol experience and attended Belmount University there.

* Alison describes her sound as taking elements from artists she loves — Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride and Sara Evans — and fusing them with her own style.
