Lauren Daigle, Season 11

Meet American Idol contestant Lauren Daigle

0

Lauren Daigle advanced to Hollywood on Season 9 and returned for Season 11 after deciding what she wanted to do with her life.

For the student at Louisiana State University, that means singing and using her music to draw attention to the plight of those who can’t help themselves, including victims of human trafficking.

“I’m going to use this platform to help those who don’t have a voice,” Lauren says in her golden ticket interview. “I want to be there for people who have dreams and aspirations, but are stuck in these terrible situations.  I want to be the next American Idol for them.”

Lauren says she got her start as a performer when she played the role of a camel in a church play when she was just 3.  She graduated from Lafayette Charter School and is a member of the LSU Class of 2014.

She hails from Lafayette, La., and auditioned for Season 11 in Galveston.

Lauren says her favorite Idol contestant is Lacey Brown; they met back in Season 9.

If anyone knows of videos of links to Lauren performing, let me know and I’ll add them.
