Carlos Santiago is among the artists who auditioned for Season 27 of The Voice.

The Voice returns Monday, Feb. 3, with the coaching quartet of Kelsa Ballerini, Michael Buble, Adam Levine and John Legend.

Here’s more about Carlos.

* He’s 36, from Puerto Rico, but living in Nashville.

* And in addition to singing and performing, he’s a vocal coach. In fact, he’s worked at Lipscomb University in Nashville as adjunct professor of commercial voice.

* In early 2023, he was part of the backing choir for Andrea Bocelli at Bridgestone Arena performances in Nashville. “What a dream come true,” he wrote on social media.

* Carlos recorded “Out There” for Disney’s nighttime spectacular Harmonious. He also performed the song on a Harmonious live-stream event in the summer of 2022.

* And in 2020, he was one of six competitors on the Netflix competition “Sing On!” which featured a potential grand prize of $60,000.

* Host Tituss Burgess asked Carlos what he would do if he won the money. Carlos said he’s travel to visit and sing for his grandmother, who has Alzheimer’s.

* In a May 2022 Instagram post, Carlos reveals that he got to do that, about three years after the show was filmed.

* Along the way, he’s released his own music, including a single called “Remember” in 2019.

* And he’s recorded for others, including a worship song called “All Glory Be To Christ” with Kevin King for Grace Worship in 2020.
