Their audition: Dane and Stephanie, both 21, of Bloomfield, N.J., performed “Angela” by The Lumineers. Dane and Stephanie both showed off nice tones during solo parts when the performance began, but it was their spotless harmonies that made the performance special. They were about midway through the performance when John Legend turned his chair. Near the end, Blake Shelton turned as well. John said the blend of their voices was “gorgeous.” Dane and Stephanie opted for Team Legend.

More about Dane and Stephanie:

* They’re twins, their last name is Mautone and they’re graduates of Bloomfield High School, where they were involved in a cappella groups and musical theater, according to their Voice bio.

* It wasn’t until they were seniors in high school that they started posting cover videos as a duo to YouTube.

* They now have nearly 18,000 followers on YouTube, dozens of videos there and have racked up more than 1.3 million views on those videos.

* Dane was born Dana, but said he always daydreamed about being a boy and realized he was transgender at age 14. He admits it took a while to tell his twin sister for fear of how she would reacts.

* Said Stephanie on The Voice: “He deserves to be happy just as much as anyone else does.”

* Dane came out as transgender in a YouTube post two years ago and provides updates on his transition on a separate YouTube channel.

* Stephanie is a senior at Montclair State University with an emphasis on communications and media arts. Dane works part-time and said he’s hoping to make music his full-time career in addition to other artistic endeavors.

* They’re working on a first single, and Stephanie said The Voice experience has inspired them to consider doing more live shows.
