Idol returned to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 18, with the coaching trio of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan back intact.
Here’s more about Hailey.
* The name might just be familiar to singing show fans. Hailey auditioned for Season 21 of The Voice at age 13 (!) and advanced all the way to the finals, finishing fourth in December 2021.
* From Clifton, N.J., her full name is Hailey Mia Osorio. She turned 16 in September.
* She has released two songs since the show — a cover of Tate McRae’ “She’s All I Wanna Be” and her debut single “Daydreams.” Both dropped in 2022.
* “Daydreams” was accompanied by a music video that you can check out below. Wow, check out that vocal! “So much hard work and dedication went into this project and seeing it unfold is like a daydream,” she wrote on social media at the time.
* Hailey auditioned for The Voice with Tate McRae’s “You Broke Me First,” turning two chairs. She joined Team Ariana Grande, but was later stolen by Kelly Clarkson.
* Her standout performance on the show was a brilliant cover of Sia’s “Elastic Heart,” which has racked up more than 250,000 streams on Spotify.
* Six of Hailey’s Voice performances are available on streaming sites. On Spotify, they’ve been streamed more than 850,000 times.
* Hailey started singing when she was very young and started taking voice lessons at age 8.
* She credits music for helping her get through a difficult time in her childhood when she was diagnosed with a rare condition that threatened to rob her of vision in her right eye. She underwent surgery and regained some of her vision in that eye.
* She established quite the following on social media, with more than 80,000 followers on Instagram and more than 43,000 on her TikTok, which also had more than 1.2 million likes. A November clip of her covering Adele’s “All I Ask” has been viewed 2.6 million times on TikTok.

We Ani, Hailey Mia, Marybeth Byrd, Megan Danielle all made the finals on “The Voice.”
It isn’t fair that Alyssa Raghu is getting a third chance after placing 8th.
Remember the Arthur Gunn controversy?
Once a contestant places in the finals on either “Idol” or “The Voice” they should not be allowed to audition again.
It’s cheating, and it’s unfair to the other contestants as they take spots in the finals as each of them have built a fanbase.
