Haley Bundy of American Idol Season 24
Idol returns to ABC on Monday, Jan. 26 with the judging trio of Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood.
Here’s more about Haley:
* She’s a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from a small town in southeastern Ohio near the Appalachian Mountains.
* Haley moved to Nashville with her family in April 2024 to pursue music and has already released four singles.
* Her debut single, “June,” dropped in August 2023 and was a collaboration with her father.
* Haley told AnnahMarcelle.com that “June” is a song she wrote about her first heartbreak when she was just 14. It’s also the first song she ever wrote.
* She’s released two singles since moving to Nashville — “In Love with Love Again” and “My Problem is You,” her most streamed song on Spotify to date. Check out the lyric video below.
* “In Love with Love Again” won the Country Crossover Award at the 2025 International Continental Music Awards in Hollywood.
* In her web bio, Haley says she started her performance career at age 13 and had racked up 200 performances by age 17.
* She hasn’t slowed down. She had a long list of December show dates, including a series of shows in the Carolinas.
* In an end-of-year post, Haley writes: “2025 held more than I thought it would. Good surprises, hard lessons, and a lot of growth I didn’t even notice happening until I looked back. I’m leaving the year a little different, a little steadier, and really thankful for the people and moments that shaped it.”
* In the interview with Anna Marcelle, Haley says she grew up listening to Heart, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac, later gravitating toward female artists like Alanis Morissette, Michelle Branch, and Dido. “I think my love for older music has really shaped my singing and writing style,” she told the site.
* As for her Idol audition, Haley writes: “All I can say is the little girl that used to sit on the couch every Sunday night in the spring to watch Idol with her daddy, only dreaming of what it would be like to get to sing in front of the judges, would be so proud right now.”
