Meet Hollywood bound Chris Lawrence

1

Chris Lawrence had a simple reason for auditioning for American Idol Season 11.

He made it to Hollywood last year, but got eliminated there.

“I had this bug under me to get back to Hollywood and prove to the judges and everyone I could go farther,” he says in his golden ticket interview.

Chris, of St. Paul, Minn., first performed for an audience in the 10th grade when he tried out for a “snow days dance” by singing Richard Marx’s “Now and Forever.”

He says he thinks the fact that he enjoys many types of music, including R&B and pop, helps make him unique and that he’s a guy “people can relate to.”
