Meet American Idol contestant Heejun Han

Top 9 — A Song for You

Top 10 — My Life

Top 11/12 — Right Here Waiting

Top 13 — All in Love is Fair

Semifinals — Angels

I’m pretty sure most of that nervousness Heejun Han displayed during the Pittsburgh audition episode of American Idol was an act.

I mean, the guy’s quite the deadpan comedian.

Here’s how he ends his golden ticket interview, looking completely serious:  “I’m very hot and a good singer.  And very hot at the same time.  I’m a hot singer. Isn’t that what you guys are looking for?”

Well, he is a pretty good singer, which we and the judges discovered when he performed Michael Bolton’s “How am I Supposed to Live Without You.”

Heejun didn’t seem so convinced when he headed into the audition room.  He said it was the waiting with the other contestants that got to him.

“I thought I was a little good,” he told Idol. “They’re just crazy good. And I’m thinking, I’m not that good. And now I’m thinking I’m not good at all.”

Well, by the time he was done singing, Jennifer Lopez was complimented the “beautiful tone” to his voice and proclaiming him “adorable.”

Heejun is 22 and from Flushing, N.Y.   He works as a nonprofit organizer.  For kids with special needs, he explains in that aforementioned golden ticket interview.

“I want to show them that if you believe in yourself, you can be someone,” the Korean native says, this time seeming totally serious.

Heejun’s rumored to do quite well on Idol.  And he’s already got fan pages on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

If you missed it, here’s Heejun’s audition.
