Ignatious Carmouche is The Voice champion you’ve never heard of.

But that might change in Season 13.

Ignatious, from Opelousas, La., won the second Voice Snapchat competition last spring, an impressive feat considering the odds.

According to The Voice, 20,000 people sent in Snapchat auditions. Each of the four coaches got to select four singers to participate as members of their Snapchat team.

Ignatious was picked to participate in the competition by Adam Levine. Covering “Pretty Wings” and “Seven,” he wound up winning.

His prize included a visit to The Voice set during Season 12, a meeting with Adam Levine, a voice lesson, a wardrobe makeover and — most importantly — an invite to participate in Season 13.

And rumor has it, he made a team.

Ignatious told The Voice he’s been singing since he was 4 years old. He was 22 when he submitted his Snapchat entry and a student at South Louisiana Community College.

According to his Facebook page, he attended the Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts in Opeslousas.

On Twitter, he identifies himself as a wedding singer, pianist and worshiper of God. He’s affiliated with the Spirit of Elijah Life Institute Church in Opeslousas.
