Isaiah Moore of American Idol Season 23

Isaiah Moore is among the artists who auditioned for the new season of American Idol.

Idol kicked off Season 23 Sunday night with Carrie Underwood joining Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie at the judges’ tables.

Auditions will continue Sunday nights on ABC.

Here’s more about Isaiah:

* He’s from Springfield, Ala., lives in Oneonta, Ala., and is worship leader at Redeemer Community Church there.

* He’s a graduate of Springfield High School, where he played in the band and was part of the choir.

* He’s studying music education at Gadsden State Community College, where he’s also a member of the choir.

* Isaiah hasn’t released music, but has posted snippets of at least three originals on social media.

* Check out “Missing You” below. “Chasing dreams and writing songs,” Isaiah writes on TikTok from what I’m guessing was American Idol’s Hollywood Week. “LA is nice, but it ain’t no Alabama. Missing the wife out here.”

* Speaking of which, Isaiah married his wife, Abby Grace, in October.

* in 2023, they made a mission trip to the Honduras. They plan to return there for another mission trip this summer and are raising money to cover expenses. Check out Isaiah’s Facebook page for more.
