Jacquelyn George of The Voice Season 27

Jacquelyn George is among the artists who auditioned for Season 27 of The Voice.

Season 27 returns Monday, Feb. 3 with the coaching quartet of Adam Levin, Michael Buble, Kelsea Ballerini and John Legend.

Here’s more about Jacquelyn:

* She’s a 28-year-old singer-songwriter and entrepreneur based in Nashville, Tenn.

* Originally from Lakeland, Fla., she’s released music as Jacquelyn Walters and Jacquelyn George and has about a dozen singles on streaming sites — a mix of covers and originals — dating back to 2017.

* Her most recent releases have been collaborations, including teaming up with Joey Stamper for a cover of the Camila Cabello-Ed Sheeran hit “Bam Bam.” Jacquelyn and Joey’s acoustic version has been streamed more than 400,000 times on Spotify alone.

* That’s one of five tracks Jacquelyn sings on that have more than 100,000 sreams on the site. Another is a 2001 mashup of Justin Bieber’s “Lifetime” and “Unchained Melody” with Anthem Lights.

* As for Jacquelyn the entrepreneur …. she’s runs a social media company called JBird, designed to help businesses use social media to help “their brand take flight.”

* Jacquelyn’s clearly been singing for quite a while. Her YouTube channel includes videos of her tackling songs like Beyonce’s “Listen” and Jessie J.’s “Big White Room” in her mid-teens.

* In a 22-question Q&A video, Jacquelyn says her favorite number is 11 because that’s how old she was when she knew for certain that she wanted to be a singer.

* According to her Spotify bio, she also landed her first singing gig at age 11, as a backup singer and dancer touring with Christian artist Nicole C. Mullen.

* Jacquelyn hasn’t released her own music in a while, but features an original called “Broken” on her Instagram. It’s a song she wrote a day after “things broke off with my boyfriend.” She calls it one of her favorite songs she’s written.

* Funny thing: She’s now been married to the guy in the song for three years. Writes Jacquelyn: “This is your reminder that redemption and restoration is on the other side of heartbreak.” Check out a snippet of the song below.
