Jayson Garner of American Idol Season 24
Idol returns to ABC on Monday, Jan. 26, with the coaching trio of Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood.
Here’s more about Jayson.
* He’s a Christian singer, songwriter and worship leader from Texas.
* He’s also a driving force behind Center Worship Nights, a roving program for 15 to 25 year olds in East Texas that just completed its first year in existence.
* According to an Instagram post, Center Worship Nights “exist to equip, exhort, challenge and assist youth and young adults to daily make Jesus the Lord the center of their lives in word, thought and deed.”
* Jayson has also released music, beginning with a demo called “Perfection” in May of 2024.
* On Apple Music, Jayson writes: “I love this song because it is about, no matter how much we sin, God’s promise to love us is the same. Not only to love us, but to forgive us. Not only to forgive us, but to save us. And not only to save us, but to make our sin into perfection.”
* Jayson followed up that release with a seven-song EP called “Beautiful God” later the same year. Every song on the EP is a Jayson Garner original. The title track is especially impressive. Check it out below.
* Jayson hasn’t release music since, but you can check out some newer originals on his social media, including “Feelings” and “The Only God.”
* On Apple Music, Jayson reveals that his musical inspirations include Christian artists Casting Crowns and Cody Carnes.
* Not every cover Jayson does is a Christian song. You’ll also find videos of him covering “The Gambler,” “Long Black Train” and Elvis songs “Trouble” and “Suspicious Minds” on YouTube. It appears he’s only been performing live for about two years.

We love Jayson as our Worship Leader. We are so blessed to have him.
Jayson is the Worship Leader at my church. He has been doing that for about 4 years now, since he was still a young boy. He has grown so much during that time. He has grown and matured in his Faith and His Spiritual Journey. He does an excellent job leading the Worship for us. He’s a sweet, precious young man. I pray he does well in this new endeavor!!!!
He’s amazing because of his love for Jesus, he’s devoted to sharing Christ wherever he goes and his music will bring people to God.
