His audition: Jonathan Bach, 20, of Ann Arbor, Mich., auditioned with Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” His performance was montaged with two other singers, so we got to see just a snippet. But he prompted a chair turn from Pharrell Williams, who praised Jonathan’s vocal control.
His background: The Voice website tells us that Jonathan is the son of two Iraqi immigrants “who aren’t entirely supportive of his musical aspirations.” He sang in choir and a cappella groups in high school. And he’s attending the University of Michigan as a pre-med student.
