Jose E. Figueroa Jr. is among the singers to announce they auditioned for The Voice Season 20.

Here’s more about Jose.

* A New York native, he’s a Christian and gospel artist now based in Kissimmee, Fla.

* He celebrates his 34th birthday in October and has been singing publicly since age 6.

* According to his Reverb Nation bio, Jose released an all-covers album called “Love Conquers All” in 2010.

* He returned with dual albums, one in English, one in Spanish, in November 2015. Those albums — “The Peace Project” and “Paz Y Serenidad” (“Peace & Serenity”) — are still available on streaming sites. Check out “You Need to Learn” from the English album below.

* Jose has a long list of singing awards including Winning Apollo Theater Amateur Night in 2010 and the Staten Island Gospel Festival in 2012 and 2014, according to his Facebook bio.

* In addition to singing, Jose lists himself as the following on Twitter: Minister, singing coach, dance instructor, modeling and acting coach, wedding and party planner, make up artist and hair stylist and Zumba instructor.

* Jose’s motto from his Facebook page: “”Blessed to be a Blessing, Called to Make a Difference, Dedicated to Changing Lives.”

* Pre-pandemic, he was performing regularly on cruise lines judging from his Instagram page.
