His audition: Jus Jon, 30, of Newport News, Va., auditioned with “Talk” by Khalid. Blake turned late in the performance and called him an incredible singer and reminded Jus Jon that he’s won the show with non-country singers. With Blake as the only chair turn, Jus Jon automatically became Team Blake.

Here’s more about Jus Jon:

* His real name is Jonathan Holmes and he was booking gigs under that name back in 2016.

* For recording purposes, he shortened that to Jonathan and dropped a pair of singles in the summer of 2016 — “Inside” and “Drivin’ Me Crazy.” They’re still on his Soundcloud page.

* The only single he’s released as Jus Jon is the intriguing “Amerikkka the Paradoxical,” which was released in June and which you can check out below.

* In a video announcement on Instagram, he calls auditioning for The Voice a “great venture” and reveals that he made the show.

* He’s performed with a group in Hampton Roads, Va., called RaJazz, a band that performs at weddings, parties and corporate events.

* But, like most musicians, he was taken away from the stage for an extended period by the pandemic, writing on Instagram: ” I’m having withdrawals when we get set free I’m unleashing the fury.”

* He attended Norfolk State University.
