The Voice Season 13 cast will feature another talented singer who hails from the Philippines.
Her name is Kathrina Feigh Aranas — just Kathrina Feigh as a stage name — and she’s been singing since age 3, according to the bio on her website.
She also arrived at The Voice with extensive experience in musical theater, including playing Bloody Mary in South Pacific and Gigi in Miss Saigon.
On Facebook, she calls The Voice “the most amazing thing” I’ve ever done and thanks her parents for helping make the experience possible.
Her parents moved from the Philippines to the Los Angeles area in 2002. With victories in several singing competitions already under her belt, Kathrina joined the Hollywood Launch program in 2007, learning alongside the likes of Taylor Lautner and Becky G.
She also performed at Carnegie Hall in 2011 and earned an associates degree at Los Angeles Pierce College and a bachelor’s in musical theater in 2016 from Pace University in New York.
Kathrina classifies herself as an R&B / soul singer on Facebook and now resides in Brooklyn.
Among her other accomplishments are a solo show at the Rockwood Music Hall in New York and being part of the B Cast for “The Frank Sinatra: A Voice for a Century Concert” at the Lincoln Center in December of 2015.
At the latter event she was the standby for none other than former Voice coach Christina Aguilera.
As for her participation in The Voice …
“Being born in the Philippines and not having enough, I can say that I’m truly blessed to have this amazing opportunity,” she writes on Facebook.
“I owe this to little Kathrina, who’s been dreaming about this moment her whole life — she would be so proud of the woman and artist she has become today.”
Here are Kathrina’s social links, followed by a couple of clips of her performing.
