Even then, they only heard Keilene sing solo for a couple of seconds during her duet of “Shallow” with Baylee Littrell.
Baylee wound up advancing thanks to the support of Carrie Underwood. Keilene was eliminated, though in delivering the news, Lionel Richie called her “so talented.”
Listen to the original music Keilene has released — especially her last two singles — and you have to wonder what Idol fans missed.
Here’s more about Keilene.
* She’s Keilene Bultron, 24, born in Puerto Rico, but now based in New York and Miami.
* She’s a dancer, model, actress and singer. She appeared in the 2024 horror-thriller “Bloodline Killer,” which has Bruce Dern in its cast.
* Asked which of those creative endeavors, she finds most gratifying in a June 2024 interview with ANRFactory.com, Keilene said the answer is easy.
* “It’d have to be singing,” she told the site. “I find myself reaching into the deepest depths of my soul and giving my all when my voice fills the room. It’s such a powerful feeling.”
* Keilene, who’s music is a mix of soul and jazz, released her first four singles in 2024, beginning with “Lips” last June.
* “Of Course (Fire)” and “The Body Goes” are especially impressive. And the vocal on the latter is flat-out sensational. Check it out below. Both will be on an EP Keilene plans to release later this year.
* Keilene’s musical mentors have included rock musician Beth Cohen, who she credits for bringing “confidence and vigor to my vocals like no other.”
* She told ANR she’s used her creative outlets to overcome depression and anxiety from adolescence. “I aim to empower women to spark a flame within their spirits and realize the power they hold.”
* Keilene hasn’t written much about her Idol experience on social media, but after her elimination told Idol she felt making the Top 42 was “a big accomplishment … and the start of a bright chapter.”

I’m super disgusted by the Baylee and Keilene decision. First time trainer told her not to start first, then the trainer told her to tone down her voice because she drowning out his voice then the day of the trainer tells Keilene to give Baylee the entire intro making Keilene disappera altogetherso yes nepotism is alive and well.
Yep, it was a horrible edit for Keilene. She’s filmed gazing in affection at Baylee as he timidly sings. He’s the focal point of the entire performance. I think she was shown singing one small solo part, and that wasn’t flattering. Then I listened to Keilene’s released music. She’s got a helluva voice.
