Michael Maler of American Idol Season 24
Idol returned to ABC on Monday, Jan. 26 with the judging trio of Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie. The final audition episode airs Monday.

* He’s a singer-songwriter from the New Haven, Conn., area.
* He’s a June graduate of Guilford High School in Guilford, Conn., and played on the hockey team there.
* Michael doesn’t appear to have released music. But he has several originals on his TikTok. You can check out one of those below.
* He has about 2,500 likes on his videos on that site, where he calls himself a self-taught musician.
* Covers of “Olivia” and “Snowbank Blues” by the rock band The Backeat Lovers are among his most popular covers on the site.
* He announced his Idol audition in November. “Seeing so much similar talent in one spot is honestly so inspiring it puts everything into a new perspective!” he wrote on Instagram. “I met some amazing people and sang some amazing songs.”
