Natasha Blaine of The Voice Season 29

Natasha Blaine is among the artists who auditioned for Season 29 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Feb. 23 with the coaching trio of John Legend, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson.

Here’s more about Natasha:

* She’s a native of the Seattle area, now based in Nashville who describes her music as groovy soul pop.

* And she already has lots of groovy soul pop fans can listen to. Natasha dropped a six-song EP called “I Fall in Love Too Easily” in 2021 and has released 15 singles since.

* Her latest — “Own Way (Pull the Thread)” — was released in January. She calls it “a gentle reminder to be your biggest advocate instead of harshest critic.”

* She also says it’s the sister single to her 2025 song “Nosedive.” She says “Nosedive” is the first solo-written song she’s released in a long time. Check out “Nosedive” below.

* In an interview with Spotlight on Business Magazine, Natasha says she was painfully shy as a child and singing “was the only thing that made my shyness go away.”

* She credits her grandmother for spurring her interest in music. And introducing her to the music of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. And for convincing her mom that she should begin voice lessons around age 6.

* Natasha says she didn’t get serious about songwriting until she was 19. That also about the time she decided she might want to turn her love of music into a career.

* She moved to Nashville when she was 20, transferring from a college in Seattle to one in Nashville “as an excuse to move … I just felt this pull to try and be an artist, because if I didn’t try, I would always wonder what would have happened if I did. There’s nothing else I’ve ever wanted to do.”

* Natasha told The Mic that she thinks her music stands out because she and the members of her band, The Intuition, all have backgrounds in jazz music.

* On her website, she says that music “fuses retro pop and funky hooks into an intoxicating musical concoction that owes as much to Ella Fitzgerald as it does to Amy Winehouse.” And she predicts fans of Winehouse, Lianne La Havas, Olivia Dean and Lake Street Dive will love the result.
