Meet Ryan Jirovec of Team Blake on The Voice

Only one judge turned around for Ryan Jivrovec’s rendition of Lonestar’s “Amazed” on The Voice.

But the guy from Los Angeles got the coach he wanted — Blake Shelton.

“He’s an incredible guy,” Ryan told Christina Milian in his post-audition interview. “And I love country music. To have him as a coach, I’m going to learn a lot.”

It’s a genre Blake seems to think he has a future in, telling Ryan “you have the basic things you need to become a country star.”

But head over to Ryan’s YouTube channel and you’ll find that he doesn’t just sing country. The covers there range from Incubus to ‘N Sync. He even sings a little of the latter song in Spanish and lists his genres as classical/pop/rock on LinkedIn.

Ryan’s Voice bio says he’s inspired by Josh Groban and Garth Brooks and wants to bring his own brand of “popera” to the show.

It also says he’s recorded several demo tracks for notable musicians, while holding out hopes of launching a solo career.

At one time a student at Texas Christian University, he’s also working on a degree in health and fitness management.

And if he needs any inside information on what it takes to be successful on The Voice, he can always turn to a friend.

He told Christina he’s friends with Chris Mann, one of last season’s finalists.

“This is my biggest stage. My biggest opportunity,” Ryan said of the show.
