Melanie Martinez released her longest trailer yet — and her first snippet of music — from her upcoming “K-12” album and film.
A one-minute teaser for the project aired during Monday’s MTV Movie Awards.
The trailer features Melanie and her school mates on what appears to be a terrifying bus ride.
At another point, she and a friend appear to be burying something, being gleefully rushing off to play tennis.
“K-12” will land in music and film form on Sept. 6, just more than four years after the 24-year-old’s highly successful “Cry Baby” album.
That album went platinum and spent two consecutive years on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart, making Melanie the most successful former Voice contestant ever.
If you haven’t seen it yet — more than 1 million people already have — here’s the new promo.
