Michelle Brooks-Thompson was a contestant on Season 3 of The Voice

“If you are feeling discouraged or depressed, on the verge of giving up, contemplating suicide, or have lost your faith, this song is for you,” Michelle writes on Facebook.

“Regardless of what the enemy says to you, I want you to know that you are not defeated,” she adds. “The trial you are in will not overtake you. You will win. God has already declared you victorious in 1st John 5:4. Wipe your tears and say to yourself, I Am Triumphant.”

Michelle was 28 when she turned three chairs with a rousing performance of “Proud Mary” and landed a spot on Team Adam Levine on Season 3 of The Voice.

She advanced to the knockout round before being eliminated in a match with eventual Top 6 finisher Amanda Brown.

“I Am Triumphant” isn’t her first post-Voice release. She’s also recently released a live version of “Keep Praising Him” and, in 2015, released an EP called “My Life’s Testimony.”
