ChrisDeo, Mor Ilderton and Creigh Riepe, all singers we met on Season 26 of The Voice, have new songs out
Not surprisingly, some members of The Voice Season 26 cast are striking while the iron is hot and releasing new music.
In addition to the releases below, Brad Sample (“The Letter” and Mark Shiiba (“Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”) have released full versions of their audition songs.
And remember that remarkable rendition of “Hold on to Me” from Lauren-Michael Sellers in the knockout for Team Reba. She released her cover and it soared to number six on the Apple Music Christian singles chart.
New music from Season 26 contestants include …
Mor Ilderton left The Voice without competing in the knockout round and hasn’t posted why. He has been posting lots of promos for his new folk pop song, “The Stranger,” which landed Friday. It’s the second release from Mor, following April’s “Welcome Sign.” That song has more than 130,000 streams on Spotify. Mor uses mor as his stage name and the 20-year-old from West Virginia had been well received on The Voice. He turned three chairs in the blinds and had been stolen by Gwen Stefani following a battle round match with Kiara Vega.
ChrisDeo, who auditioned for The Voice at age 16, released her debut single “Unhappy” on Wednesday. The show had aired her elimination episode, following a Team Snoop Dogg three-way knockout two days earlier. She called her experience on the show “life changing.” As for the new song, says ChrisDeo (Christina Victoria Ramdeo): “This song is for all the people who have ever felt neglected, unheard, or let down in a relationship. I wrote it about my relationship with my dad and how growing up he never made an effort to be in my life. I hope it resonates with you and brings some comfort to those have been in the same or similar situation.” She’s also scheduled a free show in Astoria, NY for Saturday.
Creigh Riepe, eliminated from Team Reba during the knockout round, released an uplifting song called “Better Days” last week. Writes Creigh, 32, from Nashville: “Lots of people ask me what my plans are now that my time on @nbcthevoice is over. I’m living the best days of my life.” Of course, the song dropped while he was in Hawaii on a 10-year anniversary trip with his wife. As for the single, Creigh adds: “Praying this song can encourage someone walking through tough times. Better days are ahead.” Creigh already had more than a dozen singles on streaming sites.
