And he’s launched a Pledge Music campaign to help support the effort.

The new album is called “Noise,” is scheduled for a spring 2019 release and will feature a collaboration with India.Arie as the debut single.

In fact, some of the songs from the album could be released as singles before the end of the year, Chris writes in his Pledge pitch.

He says he’s been writing and recording the music for the album over the past year.

You might recall he was busy before that playing the lead in the national tour of Phantom of the Opera.

“‘Noise’ is the result of what I love most about pop music — classic melodies, urban beats, vintage horns and honest lyrics that speak to where I am right now in life, love and the times,” Chris says of the new project.

The album will be Chris’ first since “Constellation” in 2016.

Now 36, Chris placed fourth on Season 2 of The Voice.
