A new Christina Grimmie song dropped Friday, one day before what would have been the late singer’s 28th birthday.

The song is called “Rule the World,” one Christina and her brother Marcus wrote back in 2009 when Christina was just 15 and still building what became a massive following on YouTube.

Christina finished third on Season 6 of The Voice, and was releasing her own music by that time.

But she was shot and killed while signing autographs following a show in Orlando, Fla., in 2016. She was 22.

“Rule the World” was never finished or released.

Now it has been, as a duet with aspiring artist Ryan Brown, 16.

Like Christina, Ryan is from Marlton, N.J. Like Christina did, she attends Cherokee High School.

What’s more, she grew up a fan of Christina’s music.

Ryan told the Cherry Hill Courier Post that she’s “incredibly honored that I get to continue (Christina’s) legacy.”

“The song is inspiring,” Ryan added in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel. “It’s like we can do anything and about overcoming people that try to stop us.”

Meanwhile, Marcus and the Christina Grimmie Foundation are planning a virtual Concert for a Cause for June 8.

Tori Kelly, Rachel Patten and Kurt Schneider have already signed on to perform. So have a pair of former Voice standouts, Jacquie Lee and Audra McLaughlin.

The Christina Grimmie Foundation raises money for victims of gun violence.

Here’s “Rule the World.”
