Daughtry fans should be thrilled right about now.
The band is about to release a new single, “Waiting for a Superman,” that will hit iTunes just after midnight.
The last album from Chris Daughtry and his cohorts was “Break the Spell,” which came out in November 2011.
Taking to Twitter today, Chris said the new song is “inspireed by real-life experiences of incredible women.
“Women everywhere — Moms, daughters, sisters, friends. And I hope the message continues to inspire and be a source of strength.”
Tweets about the new music have also come from the band’s Twitter account, including the following.
“Been listening to this song come together and, all I can say, is ya’ll better be ready for Daughtry 2.0.
“Really hard to describe exactly what’s different, but it’s unmistakeable and it’s Chris Daughtry unleashed and at his best ever.”
Wow, talk about a buildup.
Of course, Chris is one of the most successful non-winners ever from Idol.
“Break the Spell” debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200. Daughtry’s previous two album went platinum.
