Looks like you can add Anoop Desai to the list of season eight Idol contestants planning to release music in 2010.
Anoop has signed on with JS2 Communications, and the firm sent out a press release earlier this week indicating Anoop plans to release his first single in the spring.
No word on a record deal for Anoop, who finished sixth in season eight.
But when I interviewed season six contestant Brandon Rogers a couple of weeks back, he was just coming off a writing session with Anoop and predicted big things for the North Carolinian’s music.
In a MySpace blog post last month, Anoop told fans he had moved to L.A. He mentioned “Not Like This” as the name of a track he was working on with Brandon.
He also promised to post the song on MySpace when it’s completed, but no sign of it yet. You can find several covers there.
