Cassadee Pope from The Voice Season 3
Curtis Grimes from The Voice Season 1
Ashland Craft from The Voice Season 11
New post-Voice music out includes singles from Cassadee Pope and Curtis Grimes and another featuring former contestant Ashland Craft.
Here’s more about each of those releases.
The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* Cassadee Pope, the Season 3 champ, has released a new song called “Say It First.” She says it’s “about not being afraid to be the bad guy,” by ending a relationship that isn’t working out. “Because if you’re doing what’s right for you, the other person will only benefit in the long run. Saying it first can suck. But it’s better than being unhappy.” Cassadee fans should be happy to know that she’ll have a new album called “Thrive” out this fall. “Gunna bring all the country, pop, punk vibes that make up my whole heart,” she writes on Instagram.
* Curtis Grimes from Season 1 has released a five-song “Worship Experience” live EP. The lead track is “Reckless Love” and features a vocal assist from another Voice alum, Holly Tucker from Season 4. Curtis also had a new self-titled Christian album coming out at the end of the month. Four songs — “River Road Dream,” “Still,” “Friends” and “Still a Little Country Left” — are already available. The album can be pre-order or pre-saved on Apple Music and Spotify.
* Ashland Craft from Season 13 is featured on a new single by Jordan Rowe called “Who Needs You.” The answer, according to the song: Jordan. Ashland said she was thrilled to be included on “such an awesome song.” Ashland will be heading out on the Zac Brown Band’s Comeback Tour as an opening act beginning in August.
