Want to hear some new music from Blake Lewis?
You can follow this link to listen to his first release off his upcoming album.
The tune is called “Sad Song,” appropriate I suppose, since the title of the album is “Heartbreak on Vinyl.”
Blake calls the song a “melancholy anthem” and told People: “This one is for the broken-hearted.”
Of course, it’s a Blake Lewis tune, so you’re going to get a dance beat with your melancholy. I think I heard a little beatboxing thrown in for good measure, too.
Blake, runner-up to Jordin Sparks in season six, released his first post-Idol CD, “Audio Day Dream” in November 2007.
The new CD is due Oct. 6 from Tommy Boy Entertainment.
