Allison Iraheta and Halo Circus released a new single Tuesday.
Which is great news even if it isn’t a new song.
The band has covered “Do You Believe in Shame?” for an upcoming Duran Duran tribute album.
The song was originally released on the band’s 1989 “Big Thing” album.
The upcoming tribute album — “Making Patterns Rhyme: A Tribute to Duran Duran” — will also include covers by Moby, Warpaint and Little Dragon. No word on a release date.
Halo Circus was a natural contributor to such an effort. Band member Matthew Hager worked with Duran Duran. And John Taylor of Duran Duran wrote “Something Special,” one of the first Halo Circus songs, with Allison.
The new music from Halo Circus is the first since the band released its “Gone” EP in October.
Allison, now 22, finished fourth on Season 8 of Idol. She announced the formation of Halo Circus early last year.
The band is planning a single release party later this month in Hollywood.
If you haven’t heard the Halo Circus cover yet, here it is.
